Trusting the Lord

Proverbs 29:25 - "Fearing people is a dangerous trap, but trusting the Lord means safety."

Many people around us think we are crazy and getting in over our heads trying to bring two more children into our home. Some of these same people said we were crazy for trying to bring a special needs child into our home the first time. These same people can now see how amazing God's plan has been with Mei being a part of our family. But how quickly we forget and begin looking at things from a worldly perspective..."How will you pay for all these kids to go to college?" "Where are you going to put all these kids." "How will you provide for a family so large." "What if you can't do this" or "What if you forget to do that..." "What if..." "What if..." "What if..."

The only question I am really concerned with right now is ... WHAT IF we don't follow the Lord's leading this time? WHAT IF we don't bring Eli and Zoe home? Will they ever have a family to love them and introduce them to the love of Jesus Christ?

I am more fearful of what will happen if we do NOT bring Eli & Zoe home than I am if we do. I am more interested in trusting the Lord and following Him down this path than I am in listening to those who say we are crazy and getting in over our heads. Truth be told, we know we are crazy and getting in over our heads and we believe this is exactly where the Lord desires us to be. When we are in over our heads then He gets to show up and leave no doubt that He is the Lord God ALMIGHTY!

"My grace is all you need. My power works best in weaknesses." - Jesus (2 Corinthians 12:9)

Lord, we know you will show up and continue to make a way for us to bring Eli and Zoe home. We know 7 is a lot of children running around a home. We know what others are saying and thinking. I pray you will keep us focused on what you are saying. Help us stay the course. Use us for your glory. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
