Longing

Longing is partially defined as a strong and persistent desire for something or someone. This week Shannon and I have taken extra time to pray and to pray together. As we have prayed for the adoption process and for Eli & Zoe our desire to bring them home has grown. All throughout the day I clearly see their faces as depicted in the pictures we have posted here on the blog. We long to bring these precious children home and love them into the Deavers' Zoo!

We know money will be a major issue this time and yet we know that our Lord is sovereign - He can provide whatever we need...even the world's paper funds.

Our children are getting more and more excited about adding another brother and sister to our family. It is cool to see our children grow and even though they love to pester at times what children don't love to pester. Bailey is especially growing and making great efforts to be a good helper around the house. He is growing into quite the little man.

Father, thank you for children...all our children. Thank you for the way you have always provided for us. As we journey down this road with you teach us to trust you more. I know Mei's story has brought you much glory and I pray that this part of our story will bring you even greater glory. We look forward with great expectations to see how you are going to work all this out. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

His Glory on Display

All throughout the Scriptures we see the Lord God Almighty displaying His glory through the circumstances He places His children in.

Lord, once again we find ourselves in a situation where you are going to have to show up if we are going to bring these children home. We have seen you provide in the past and even though we are in greater need for you to show up this time we know you are greater still! We trust you to show up and make a way for us to bring Eli and Zoe home. We know what we are doing is in line with your heart for orphans (James 1:27). We also know as you provide you will get much glory. Lord, display your glory through this portion of the story you are writing in and through our lives. Mei's story for your glory is still being written. All of our stories are still being written for your glory. We look forward with great expectations to being a part of Zoe & Eli's story for your glory! To God be the glory! In Jesus name, Amen.

Mei Starts School

Mei has watched many mornings as his brothers and sisters have put on their packs and headed out the door to school! Now he gets to join them. He is so excited to be going to 'his' school. He is going 1/2 days and is working with special needs instructors. His language is already up to speed for a 3 year old - thanks Aunt B for working with him while he was still in China waiting for us to get him!

Pray for how the Lord can use Mei's story for His glory as Mei interacts with many new folks through school.
