Gifts from God - Arrows for His Warriors

People keep telling us how blessed and lucky Mei is to be able to be a part of our family. The truth is that we are the blessed ones. Mei is a gift to us - NOT - we are a gift to him.

The Lord has blessed us to be a part of his life. As a matter of fact - the Lord has blessed Shannon and I with five precious gifts. He has given us these gifts and He expects us to raise each of our children up, point them in the right direction, and release them in to His hands.

Psalm 127:3-5

Thank you Lord for blessing me far beyond what I could ever deserve. In your perfect timing you brought Shannon into my life to help me seek and serve you better. In your perfect timing you have given Shannon and I 5 precious gifts. In your power you will continue giving us what we need to raise our children up to seek and serve you with their lives. May we lead by example and seek and serve you with our lives. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

A Father's Touch

When we first & finally got Mei he had only been used to ladies taking care of him. Because of this he clung to Shannon. To try to help him grow out of this I (Tracey) made a point to change his diapers and give him baths as often as I could. This way he could get used to the touch of his father’s hand and learn my love for him.

Thankfully the heavenly Father knows we need His personal touch to be able to have a true love relationship with Him. The Father made a way for us to have a personally intimate relationship with Him through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. We can experience His touch. We can feel His touch in our lives! How? First, but having a personal relationship with Him by faith (John 3:16; Ro.10:9-10). Then, we live by faith in His Word and trust Him to be who He says He will be in His Word. When we live by faith – walking in His ways – we see His faithfulness and feel His touch. Even when we are not faithful to His ways He still loves us and wants us to feel His touch if only we will listen to His Word!

Psalm 37:23-24 is such a comforting passage! The Lord really does care about every detail of our lives. He really does desire to hold our hands as we walk with Him through life!

When was the last time you felt the touch of your Father in heaven? Walk by faith! Stay in His Word! Listen to His Words and obey them! Look for His touch!

Stop: Slow down your busy life enough to make time to spend getting to know your Father (Luke 10:38-42)

Look: He really is there! You will see Him and find Him when you seek Him with all your heart (Jeremiah 29:13)

Listen: Get in His Word. He has given you everything you need in writing! Build your life on His Word. Live by faith in His Word! (Luke 6:46-49; James 1:22)
